Next week, Latin America’s leading Fintech event – Finnosummit – will return to Miami for its second edition, bringing together leading industry experts, investors, innovative startups, and financial institution executives.
The conference – organised by Finnovista, in association with LAB Ventures – aims to provide an inclusive space for over 400 participants to explore Fintech potential in the region, drive industry innovations and forge new connections between entrepreneurs.
Discussions and speeches will cover a number of topics, including venture capital collaboration in Latin America, digital identity in banking, the potential for building financial service platforms via blockchain, InsurTech’s evolution in region, future regulatory frameworks, and financial inclusion.

Speakers include distinguished industry leaders, such as: Ron Shevlin, director of Cornerstone Advisors; Sam Maule, North American managing partner for 11:FS; leading business adviser Sabine Vanderlinden; and blockchain expert Kelcey Gosserand. In addition, the conference will also feature successful Fintech entrepreneurs such as Wenyi Cai of Polymath Ventures and Martin Schrimpff, co-founder of number of startups including Zinobe and PayU.
The final of Visa’s Everywhere Initiative – the region’s most important Fintech engagement programme – will also take place at the conference. The 12 finalists will pitch their projects and compete for the title of Latin America’s ‘most innovative’ startup, as well as a US $50,000 cash prize and the chance to collaborate with Visa. Semi-finals were held in a variety of Latin America cities, including Mexico City, Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.

Previous editions of Finnosummit have been held in Mexico and Colombia, gathering over 3,500 attendees and cementing the event’s reputation as a must-attend for anyone at the forefront of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
